Why we love living on Plum Island
What I love Plum Island the most is the people and the sense of community. The neighbors are all very nice and I feel comfortable letting my kids roaming around by themselves. Once my daughter's bike broke down on her way home from school and it was a neighbor who gave her a ride. I also love the proximity to the Seacloud Park and Bay Trail which makes it easy to keep an active lifestyle. Last but not least, it's such a dog friendly neighborhood. I love all the cute dogs and their loving parents. - LB
Plum Island is an oasis that provides serenity and beauty in the midst of a very hectic urban area. Living on the water is like living at a resort. We love the community. - DJ
One of the reason I love Plum Island is surrounded by the water and Green (a many trees), which is soothing, tranquil and peaceful. I equally feel that people are nice and caring neighbor and feel very comfortable. - KK

When we moved to the Bay area several years ago, we looked at neighborhoods all over the Peninsula. Once we saw Plum Island, we knew it should be our home. Initially we were drawn to the beauty of the surroundings and the proximity of the parks and Bay Trail, but we grew to treasure most the community of people on the island. - SM
I love living on Plum Island because of our highly intellectual and at the same time extremely warmhearted neighbors. Do you know we have free access to a rich knowledge-base just by talking to our neighbors? I love living on Plum Island because it has resort like setting and at the same time is connected to almost all the essential places through walking/biking trail. Do you know we can go to both Coyotes Point and Redwood Shores library without the need of a car? - LY
It's been amazing since the time we moved into Plum Island. It is a very closely-knit neighborhood and welcomes newcomers with the open arms. It fosters social togetherness based on friendships, visiting, and has a sense of community. Neighbors are very friendly and always willing to help each other. We immensely enjoy the community pot-luck events. Aesthetically, Plum Island is very beautiful, calm and quiet community, secluded but still very close to all the hustle bustle. I think this is the best neighborhood in Foster City and I am fortunate to stay in Plum Island. - RV
My wife and I are water people. Everyday we pinch ourselves that we live among the water birds and the beautiful water vistas. So peaceful and beautiful on our little Island. - MR

We love the activities and community on Plum Island, playing pickle ball and meeting neighbors and friends at the tennis court or at the pool, and taking walks on the beautifully landscaped island, and riding bikes in the park next door. - AB
